The watch collections created from Baume & Mercier’s partnership with Indian Motorcycle are hitting US retail stores this month, giving partners a strong heritage story to drive sales.
The aim of these partnerships, according to Baume & Mercier CEO Alain Zimmermann, is to bring the emotion of the golden age of motorcycling into a pitch.
“We wanted to capture the freedom of motorcycling and the adventure inherent in the lives of Indian riders,” he says. “Baume & Mercier is celebrating the motorcycling lifestyle, whether that’s in the saddle of your favorite motorcycle or enjoying the company of your friends after a ride. Both motorcycles and watches are messengers of emotion.” he adds.
Watches from the partnership, the Clifton Club Indian Limited Edition trilogy, are supposed to evoke different feelings …
The Clifton Club Indian Scout Edition reflects the freedom of expression, style and the open road. Inspired by the Scout motorcycle, this watch highlights the art and impact of impeccable design valued by both iconic brands. The watch is limited to 1901 pieces costing $3,900.
The Chief Edition resembles the innovative spirit and power of motorbikes. Designed after the Chief bike, this watch displays the distinction of Indian Motorcycle as one of the most legendary companies. For 117 years, they have created dream machines capable of transporting you into a world of adventure, even on your commute to work. 1901 Chief Editions are being made, selling for $3,900.
The Burt Munro Tribute Edition captures the essence of adventure and adrenaline. Inspired after the racing legend, this watch pays homage to the ‘can do’ spirit of Burt Munro and now, Baume & Mercier. 1967 pieces are being made priced at $3,900.
