BA111OD spices things up with the Chapter 3.4 Black Pepper

Keen to add some flavour to its offering, BA111OD presents the Chapter 3.4 Black Pepper; a unisex Swiss-made model, echoing the Chapter 3.3 1R1SÉ in steel, launched last September.

The new chapter comes in PVD-coated steel which gives an assertive character to the 42mm timepiece, which offering hours, minutes and seconds functionality.

The satin-finished anthracite dial with smoked gradation and faceted, polished indexes reveals the heart of the watch, with a semi-skeletonized automatic movement offering a comfortable 44-hour power reserve.

The Saffiano leather strap has a folding buckle, and is equipped with 2 connected chips, one of which can be used to store your business card (or any other file you wish to share), and the other to provide direct access to your BA111OD boutique, where Afluendors can pass on the right to acquire the brand’s watches and be rewarded for doing so.

Diving deeper into the inspiration behind the new launch, the Chapter 3.4 Black Pepper was born out of a passionate discussion between loyal BA111OD customers and Thomas Baillod, founder of the brand, during a pepper fondue at the Baillod family farm in the Neuchâtel mountains.

Like the Chapter 3.3 in steel, this model, covered in black PVD, offers a more racy case design, with retracting lugs and a semi-skeletonized dial.

It retains its signature crown with embossed logo at 4 o’clock, while the steel baton markers are beveled and highlighted with Super-LumiNova, as are the openworked steel hands.

 

The dial, satin-finished in anthracite sunlight with a smoky gradation, opens to reveal at 1 o’clock the balance-spring, the vital organ of the watch, which regulates the march of time through its oscillations.

The opening is extended to offer a view of the gear train of this automatic, semi-skeletonized movement, equipped with 26 jewels and a black color treatment.
