August Berg’s go-to-market plan continues international growth strategy

Danish-designed watch brand, August Berg, has continued its expansion, the next major step to the brand’s international growth strategy.

In light of lockdown restriction easing in the UK, and the long-awaited reopening of establishments, it has introduced an advantageous and supportive go-to-market plan to tide retailers through.

The reality is many retailers are eager to return to a sense of normality but with consistent uncertainty, those behind the brand say they have come up with a plan to alleviate an element of this pressure.

It has taken the lead to negotiate a forward-thinking plan to support retailers and deliver an exciting new brand to store windows whilst assisting stockists with extended terms to their opening orders.

Tempus Luxury Group, who represents August Berg in the UK, wanted to enable retailers to refresh their windows with new and exciting products without the concern of immediate payment.

Sales Director at Tempus, David Thomas, said: “We have noticed that a lot of brands have been forced to tighten their belts, which in turn limits what they are able to offer their retail partners. We hope that by offering support tools such as extended payment terms, free postage and packaging, that we can provide an additional layer of assurance to our customers.”

Adding: “The core values upheld by August Berg prove that they are more than just a typical watch brand. In their commitment to a charitable future, August Berg have partnered with the Human Practice Foundation, a Danish not-for-profit organisation, to gift six months of education to a child in Africa for every watch sold.

“Furthermore, together with the Human Practice, August Berg will build a school for every 20,000 watches sold to support children’s wider education in rural communities. Thomas explained, “I’m sure there are a lot of parents out there who will agree, the past year has really demonstrated the importance of education and the power it possesses for our future generations. That is why we are so proud to have partnered with August Berg and so thrilled that together we are able to help provide education to those who need it”.
