Audrey Raffy joins her father Pascal at Bovet

Bovet has announced that Audrey Raffy, eldest daughter of the maison’s owner Pascal Raffy, has joined the company’s North American office as vice president and general counsel.

Ms Raffy graduated this May from Northwestern’s Pritzker School of Law.

Since acquiring the company in 2001, Mr Raffy has been sculpting the business into a fully integrated independent watchmaker making only ultra-complex haute horlogerie pieces.

From making around 4,000 watches per year 20 years’ ago, Bovet’s stated aim for this year is to limit annual production to 800 handcrafted timepieces.

Surprisingly, Bovet also introduced a new entry level price this year with the launch of the Dimier Collection Récital 29 in steel priced at a mere CHF 24,500.

The company is committed to making all components in-house using traditional techniques and focusing on maintaining exclusivity and uniqueness for each timepiece.

Like many Swiss maisons throughout history, Bovet appears set on creating a dynasty with a second generation of the Raffy family entering the firm.

“The Bovet family welcomes Audrey and her passion for Haute Horology, as she joins forces with her father Mr Raffy to continue leading the pathway of Engineering Brilliance today, tomorrow, and for many more years to come,” the company says.
