Audemars Piguet has celebrated the launch of its new CODE 11.59 in New York.
The brand welcomed over 300 guests in joining Antonio Sewards, CEO of Audemars Piguet North America, in launching the new collection.
Guests including Trevor Noah, Luka Sabbat, and Johannea Huebl gathered at The William Vale Hotel for a first-look at the new collection, its history, and its features.
The reveal of Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet was preceded by an eight-member dance performance accompanied by an original composition.
Discussing the new release, Jasmine Audemars, chairwoman of the board of directors, said: “At Audemars Piguet, we constantly challenge ourselves to push the limits of craftsmanship. Endowed with a strong spirit of independence, we proudly own our roots and territory, daring to combine precision and creativity. Faithful to our legacy, we continue to evolve by preserving and rewriting traditions. 11.59 is ahead of the game, constantly on the brink of tomorrow.”
The brand said the collection had been designed to give a contemporary twist and a certain edginess to the classic round watch, while continuing with the manufacture’s long history of unconventional form and design languages.
Composed of 13 references, including five complications and six calibres of the latest generation, the brand sees it as one of the most important launches for Audemars Piguet ever.
Addressing attendees in his welcome remarks at the event at the end of March, Antonio Seward said, “Tonight we celebrate an important milestone in the history of Audemars Piguet in the company of our long-standing clients and friends. We are excited to bring a taste of Le Brassus to Brooklyn and unveil the next generation of iconic timepieces with Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet.”
