Audemars Piguet brings in fresh-thinking CEO for North America

Watches of Switzerland Group opened its first Audemars Piguet monobrand as a joint venture in Atlanta last year.

Audemars Piguet’s CEO Francois-Henry Bennahmias said last year he wanted to broaden and deepen the collective wisdom within the business by hiring from outside the luxury watch industry.

His first major appointment of 2021 suggests he is starting to put that philosophy into practice by appointing Ginny Wright as CEO for Audemars Piguet North America.

She replaces Patrick Ottomani, who has held the post from early 2019 until the end of last year.

Ms Wright brings her knowledge and understanding of the luxury goods retail sector to the role following an extensive career with L’Oréal USA, where she held a number senior leadership positions including US brand president for skincare giant Kiehl’s.

Also at L’Oreal, she was global deputy general manager of Ralph Lauren Fragrances and oversaw national accounts and retail marketing for Lancôme in the United States.

“I am thrilled to assume this role and to join Audemars Piguet, a company that I have long admired,” Ms Wright says.
