Apple could be set to turn to new materials for its next watch release, according to hidden code.

The leaks suggest that the firm could be looking at titanium and ceramic.

A report from the Independent detailed how the information was found in code hidden in watchOS 6, the beta version of the operating system that will be released in September.

Similar hidden code has recently revealed the release date of the new iPhone, something some suggest could also serve as the introduction of the new Apple Watch.

No Apple Watch in the past has been made from titanium but 2 and 3 were ceramic.

With its next release, the brand may be wanting to take inspiration form mainstream watch brands who use titanium frequently.
