Alpina creates exclusive timepieces for North American market

Swiss sports watchmaker Alpina used CoutureTime in Las Vegas this week to unveil two quartz-based collections that will be available only in North America.

The business, which is owned by Citizen Watch Company, launched quartz models of its Alpiner collection in 42mm steel cases and bracelets. North American exclusives come in a range of dial presentations including silver, dark grey and blue with sunray finishing and applied silver luminova indexes and date window at 6 o’clock.

The 10ATM water resitant watches use scratch resistant convex sapphire crystal glass and retail for $895.

There are also America-only quartz models being added to Alpina’s ladies family, Comtesse, in 34mm cases in two-tone stainless steel with bi-color yellow gold coating or a stainless steel case and bracelet.

New dials are offered in black or white mother-of-pearl with 11 set diamond indexes and a date at 6 o’clock. Prices start at $995.
