All rosy for Breguet Type XXII 10Hz Basel launch


Breguet is set to launch its Type XXII 3880 10Hz timepiece in a new model – Or Rose – at BaselWorld next month, a fresh timepiece in the Type XX and XXI collection.

The flyback chronograph boasts a silicon escapement with a flat balance ring that allows the movement to function at an increased frequency of 10Hz, or 72,000 vibrations per hour.

This high frequency ensures that the watch is as precise as possible, especially when the chronograph has a sweeping seconds hand that making one complete revolution of the dial in half a minute.

As a result, the watch has red and white markers on the minute scale within the inner bezel, which show whether the hand is on its first or second rotation.

The watch also has a flyback function, a second time zone with 24-hour indicator and date.
