50 Brands of Basel: Ulysse Nardin

Ulysse Nardin has unveiled a bold new design language with its latest model, the Royal Python Skeleton Tourbillon.

Limited to just 18 pieces, the Royal Python Skeleton Tourbillon reaffirms the current interest in skeleton models within the luxury sector as well as neatly integrating the watch’s ‘snakeskin aesthetic’ beyond its python strap and into the open-worked movement and chapter ring using hand painted motifs on the heavily skeletonised mainplate.

The inhouse UN-170 calibre features a silicium balance spring, anchor and escapement wheel as well as an inhouse developed flying tourbillon.
