Parmigiani’s first unveiling for 2019 is aimed at the affluent female end of the market with a rose gold update to the Tonda Métropolitaine Sélène range that was first launched in 2016.
The watch, which will be seen for the first time at January’s SIHH exhibition in Geneva, has a new in house movement, the PF318, in a 33.7mm case displaying hours, minutes, small seconds, date and moon phase on a white mother of pearl dial featuring a lotus flower in solid rose gold.
A sparkling bezel is adorned with 76 brilliant-cut diamonds.
The PF318 self-winding movement has a power reserve of 50 hours thanks to two series-mounted barrels.
The movement, which is visible through the watch’s sapphire case back, is decorated with the Côtes de Genève stripe.
