Fossil Group has been fighting for two years to find a fashion watch that might come close to repeating the success of its Michael Kors Bradshaw.
The group believes it might have found it with the DKNY Minetta line, which was introduced this autumn.
It is the first collection from a new team of creative directors, which have taken the brand in a more refined direction. The new slim case was inspired by the clean, modern imagery and styling from the DKNY ready to wear Launch Collection.
The watch is offered in two sizes – 36mm and 28mm – each with an open, easy read dial, three hand movement and slim top ring keeping with the minimalist trend.
The watches are offered with a steel bracelet or a fine-grain leather option in a range of modern colours.
Fossil says that the unisex 36mm NY2502 steel edition (£125) is the best seller this year, followed by the £145 NY2514 rose gold with leather strap (both pictured).
Insiders at Fossil Group tell WatchPro that 2017 is going to be The Year for DKNY.
