Vacheron Constantin, the Swiss watchmaker, has announced that it has been re-certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC).
By meeting the ethical, social and environmental standards that the RJC establishes, the brand has achieved Certification against the 2013 Code of Practices (COP).
“RJC warmly congratulates Vacheron Constantin on its Certification,” said the RJC’s executive director, Andrew Bone. “We are thrilled to see Members achieving Re-Certifications against the standard.”
Vacheron Constantin CEO, Juan-Carlos Torres, was understandably effusive about the news. “The RJC Code of Practices Re-Certification confirms that our convictions continue to be in line with those of the RJC and supports one of our corporate values: an aspiration to be a good corporate citizen – fostering meaningful partnerships, acting responsibly and being open to the world,” he said.
