Rotary rolls out its AW17 watch collection this week. The watches are the first to launch in more tightly curated collections with names like Cambridge, Oxford, Kensington and Henley highlighting the British heritage of the watchmaker.
The watches appeared on Rotary’s own website, although retailers such as Watchshop and H.Samuel are not yet offering them online.
Cambridge is described by Rotary as its flagship automatic range. The watches come in a 40.5mm case with single domed Sapphire glass, domed Roman numeral dial with a counter sunk date window at 3 o’clock and a sleek hidden crown. The watches are water resistant to 50m. Rotary has it priced online at £269 in steel and £279 in rose gold colour.
A quartz chronograph model in the Cambridge family has a sportier look. The watch has an independent chroograph second hand and a tachymeter inner dial for calculating acceleration or distance. The multi function dial is shielded by single domed Sapphire glass in a 42mm case on an H link steel bracelet. Rotary is selling the watch for £269.
The preppy Oxford family comprises men’s models with black gloss or brushed silver face while the ladies feature a silver white swirl or Mother of Pearl. Both have applied, angled index hour markers.
Men’s models comme with stainless steel three link bracelets or stitch detail calf leather straps in tan or black. They are priced at £149 on leather straps and £195 on steel bracelets.
Ladies’ models have crystal set bezels flowing into the lugs attached to link bracelet or leather strap. Prices range from £155-235, depending on finishes.
