Q&A: Suzie Brooks, Grenchen Time

Grenchen Time has just been announced as the latest London Watch Show exhibitor. It will take brands Rodania and Michel Herbelin to the show on July 2 and 3. Here marketing director Suzie Brooks tells us her plans for the show.

WatchPro: Why did you decide to exhibit at the London Watch Show with Rodania and Michel Herbelin?
Suzie Brooks: It is wonderful to be involved in the first ever trade show dedicated to watches and it is long overdue. The London Watch Show will allow us to build brand awareness and introduce Michel Herbelin and Rodania to UK retailers who were unable to visit us at BaselWorld and preview all the latest product launches. It will give us an opportunity to reach out to both old and new customers in the fabulous surroundings of the Freemasons’ Hall. We cannot wait.

WP: What do you want to get out of exhibiting at the London Watch Show?
SB: The London Watch Show will be a fantastic opportunity for us to build on existing relationships and forge new long-term partnerships with retailers.

WP: What are your plans for Michel Herbelin?
SB: For Michel Herbelin, our aim is to showcase our new collection to the UK trade, including new models just launched at BaselWorld such as our exciting new Odyssey collection.

WP: And Rodania?
SB: For Rodania, now in year two in the UK, our aim is to continue to build our distribution, offering an alternative Swiss-based volume brand already tried and tested in many European countries.

WP: If you could get a message across to UK retailers what would it be?
SB: As we will be exhibiting with both Michel Herbelin and Rodania, we are hoping to get across our message that it is possible to source a quality, mid-market watch brand from a privately owned independent company.
