Longines reveals pre-Basel equestrian timepieces

Longines has unveiled its pre-Basel Conquest Classic collection of traditionally designed timepieces – created in homage to its horse-racing roots.

The brand is continuing its focus on horse racing and all things equestrian, having taken over the lead sponsorship of the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI). The new collection is based on the glamour and elegance of race goers and jockeys of New York in the late 1800s.

The Conquest name was first patented through the WIPO on 25 May 1954. Since, Longines has produced a number of models using the Conquest name, with new range created to offer further global success for that brand.

The range is likely to be targeted at the followers of the flat horse races that it sponsors, in locations including Ascot, Dubai and Hong Kong.

The new range includes men’s and women’s models with case sizes of 41mm and 29mm respectively. Details include rose gold cases, mother of pearl, black or silvered dials, diamond hour markers and chronograph movements.
