Innovative retail space launched by Sevenfriday

On-trend watch brand Sevenfriday is opening its first official retail space on 24 June in Jakarta.

Presenting the antithesis of traditional watch stores, Sevenfriday plans to make its store (officially called Sevenfriday Space) an area where people can relax, have a drink at the bar and have a meal while trying on a Sevenfriday watch.

Although the area will hope to add significant value to the brand, it specifically wants to resist making visitors feel pressured to buy a timepiece while they’re there.

Other watch brands will be sure to keep track of the success (or otherwise) of the Sevenfriday Space, as it may represent an innovative and potentially lucrative alternative strategy.
