Hamilton Jewelers celebrated 80 years of working with Patek Philippe this week with a sumptuous event to thank its customers.
The company has two watch and jewelery boutiques in Palm Beach, Florida, and a third in Princeton, New Jersey, offering around 20 prestige brands including Patek Philippe, Rolex, IWC and Jaeger-LeCoultre.
The 80th anniversary party was attended by Patek Philippe head watchmaker for the United States, David Bonilla, who took questions from guests and demonstrated a number of components and movements from the company.
Larry Pettinelli, president of the Henri Stern Watch Agency, also attended along with members of his team.
“Hamilton is now a 4th generation heritage American fine jeweler, and our relationship with the Patek Philippe brand dates to 1938 when Mr. Henri Stern made a visit to the Eastern United States and called on my grandfather, who purchased one watch. This began a relationship that continues to this day, as Patek Philippe remains Hamilton’s longest standing continuous supplier. It is a relationship that we cherish and our clients appreciate,” said Hank Siegel, Hamilton president.
“We hosted approximately 50 guests for this particular evening, all Patek Philippe enthusiasts, and they appreciated the opportunity to view the collection and interact with the Hamilton and Patek Philippe teams. The evening consisted of a cocktail hour with interaction with both teams, a beautiful dinner, and a Q&A session with myself and Mr. Pettinelli, followed by a post dinner gathering on the courtyard terrace,” Mr Siegel adds.
