Franck Muller shines at WPHH in Hong Kong

Franck Muller held the 22nd edition of the World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie (WPHH) in Hong Kong for the first time. The event took place on the 75th floor of the Central Plaza from the 24th to the 27th of September.

Collections from the watchmaker were lavishly exhibited and craftsmen from Watchland revealed the many skills found in the manufacture, including, bevelling, engraving, dial making and watchmaking.

At the event, Franck Muller also revealed its latest creation, the Giga Gong Tourbillon. This new in-house designed and manufactured manual timepice reinterprets the distinguished Giga Tourbillon. Enhanced with a poetic complication, the Striking Hours, it features a rhythmic chime upon the passage of the minute hour at twelve and will strike the hours accordingly. An array of other pieces were also presented, including the Skeleton Collection and the Infinity Sunrise, which has a dial set with pave-diamonds.

The wee also featured an extravagant gala night held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, inspired by the idea of a magical cabaret. Celebrities such as Cheung Chi Lam, the new ambassador of the brand in Asia, as well as Mr Byung Hun Lee and Michelle Reis, attended the event. The latest in watches were showcased in a stylish lounge where guests could enjoy views of the city amidst the celebration.
